Dass ein Cover-Star mittels Airbrush-Pinsel bis zur Unkenntlichkeit retuschiert wird  ist keine Neuigkeit. Aber das neue „Behind the Scenes“ - Video von Vogues Shooting mit Lady Gaga zeigt die Photoshop-Vorliebe des  Magazins nur allzu deutlich.

Die Sängerin trägt ein wunderschönes beerenfarbenes Kleid von Marc Jacobs und wild auftoupierte Haare. Das Dress ist im Meerjungfrauen-Stil geschnitten und betont Taille und Hüften. Diese sind bei der Blondine gut geformt, aber offensichtlich wollte man sie noch überbetonen. Und so sieht man als Resultat eine Lady Gaga, die fast comicartig wirkt. Ein Vergleich zwischen dem  Video und dem Titelbild zeigt, wie sehr das Bodyimage verfälscht wurde. In diesem Fall kann man aber davon ausgehen, dass es beabsichtigt war, den Star als eine Art „Design“ zu präsentieren und nicht realistisch zu zeigen. Lady Gaga selbst präsentiert sich gerne so alienhaft wie möglich und veröffentlicht selbst viele Bilder, die intensivst in Photoshop bearbeitet wurden.
